The Garmin Forerunner 205 is a dumbed-down version of the Garmin Forerunner 305. You cannot connect it to the Garmin heart rate monitor, Garmin foot pad, or Garmin cadence sensor for bikes. With all of this in mind most people choose the Garmin Forerunner 305 because it costs only $20 more to upgrade to a much better product.

  • huge easy to read display
  • highly accurate
  • so easy to use
  • the release of the 405 has brought the price way down!

Garmin Forerunner Review: 405

The Garmin Forerunner 405 is the latest release by Garmin. Here’s why we don’t like it:

  • display is too small to read while running
  • buttons are too hard to use while running
  • battery has to be charged every few days which is not very practical for a “sports watch”
